Andy Reid makes retirement decision as Chiefs head coach issues announcement following Eagles Super Bowl loss

In a shocking (but not entirely surprising) move, Andy Reid has announced his retirement as head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. The decision comes after the Chiefs’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

“It’s time for me to hang up my boots,” Reid said in a statement. “I’ve done this long enough. I want to spend more time with my family and friends.”

Of course, there are those who believe there’s more to it than meets the eye. Some believe Reid is genuinely angry that the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl. Others believe he’s simply tired of coaching.

“I think he’s just looking for an excuse to retire,” said one Chiefs fan. “He’s been talking about retiring for years.”

“I don’t think he really wants to retire,” said one Eagles fan. “I think he’ll be back next year.”

Whatever the reason, one thing is certain: Andy Reid is a great coach. He led the Chiefs to two Super Bowl titles and will always be remembered as one of the greatest coaches of all time.
