It was a cold, rainy night, and Angie was cradling her newborn babies at the bus stop.
“Where will we go? God, please help us. Protect us during this difficult night,” she prayed, wiping tears from her babies’ faces.

Angie had nowhere else to go. Her parents had died a long time ago, and she couldn’t count on the girls’ father.

The nun understood her plight and immediately took her to the convent. Angie and her daughters, Sofia and Mariela, found a safe haven there while they struggled to cope.

Javier saw a photo of Angie with the girls and cried. “I’m so sorry. Please forgive their dad,” he said. Angie’s heart sank. She knew he had come seeking financial help, and she was considering giving it to him.
“I don’t know if I’ll be able to pay you back this amount of money soon. I’ll need time. I know I was a horrible person and a heartless father, and you can’t imagine how grateful I am for this,” he sobbed as he took the check from Angie’s hand.
“The night you kicked me out with our daughters, I learned the damage greed can do. And today I learned what forgiveness is. We all make mistakes, but as humans, we must forgive one another,” Angie said.
That night, the two had a chance to have a heart-to-heart talk. Angie suggested he get to know the girls and gradually learn how to be the father they needed. He excitedly accepted.
